Chairman & President of Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Academy

Mr. Li Jian has been involved in education for teenagers for more than 30 years and has made great achievements. He has been awarded National May 4th Youth Medals and Medal of Beijing Construction of Spiritual Civilization. In1999, Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Shi Yan School was founded. Until now, thousands of excellent students who graduate from this school are all over the world. Mr Li’s educational philosophy and school management methods are extremely creative. He has been promoting the idea of internationalized education. He has been striving to improve Sports, Arts, and Sciences education by learning from the experience of famous western schools. His objective is to provide an excellent foundation for the growth of children and to create more scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, and politicians.

What is education? John Dewey said, “Education is life”. Tao Xingzhi said, “Life is education”. Life is rich and colorful, so is education. Enjoying education is enjoying life. This is the highest state of students and teachers.

Teachers enjoying education is a kind of joy of giving and excitement brought by the inheritance of human civilization in their hands. “Educate the gifted people of the world”. Seeing children take over the torch of knowledge from their hands, surpass them one by one and become persons that they admire, happiness and enjoyment well up in their heart. “Learn with indefatigable zeal, be tireless in teaching, and mirth dissipates care.” This is the true portrayal of such enjoyment. Connect the past, present and future of humans together with wisdom and sweat. What kind of work can have such a wonderful and proud life in the world?

Children enjoy education and the joy brought by growth.” Childhood is the most amazing moment; in the meantime, the tot is a flower, or a fruit, a hazy cleverness, an eternal conduct, a burning desire.” (Balzac). The enjoyment of childhood is a kind of beauty of natural growth. The gate of knowledge is opened before their eyes, with a shining sun, changeable panorama, sprouting youth and wild growth.

She has a master’s degree in English Teaching from Reading University in the United Kingdom. She also has an advanced certificate for “the Outstanding Principal of National Efficient Class”. She devotes herself to the study of perfect combinations of Chinese fundamental education and western education for about 30 years, focuses on cultivating students of diverse abilities and pursues the genuine education.

Executive President of Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Academy

Michael is from Spain and is fluent in Spanish, English, Chinese, Portuguese, and Cantonese. He has studied in Spain and the United Kingdom when he was young and majored in International Relations and Sports and Training Administration. He has worked as a coach in many countries in Europe, South America, North America and Asia. In addition to being a coach in the Royal Table Tennis Society in 1990’s, he also served as a director in the United Kingdom National Training Center for Teenagers. In 1999, he became a member of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization（UNESCO）.

Principal Huang Rui Hua holds an MBA, and she has 28 years of extensive experience in eastern and western education administration. She has been awarded “the Excellent Educator in Beijing” and “the Innovation Award of the Educational Administration in Haidian District”. She advocates teaching students in accordance with the development of children. The most beautiful thing for her is growing up with children. So the children affectionately call her,” Mommy.”

Mr. Zhang Peng graduated from Nanyang Technology University, Singapore, with a master’s degree in Education Management. He is a co-founder of Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Shi Yan School. He has been awarded “Advanced Administrator of National Key Project on Education”, “Outstanding Young Teacher in Beijing”、“Beijing Advanced Workers”and “Excellent Secretary and Principal in Haidian District”.
